HYDROGYN: New Drummer Announced
November 21, 2008Ashland, Kentucky-based rockers HYDROGYN have announced the addition of drummer Josh Cumberland to the group's ranks. Cumberland comes to HYDROGYN with previous experience on the Universal label with his then-band ERASE THE GREY.
HYDROGYN is currently preparing for a long tour that kicks off in January with Juan Croucier (former bass player/songwriter in RATT and DOKKEN) and FATAL SMILE. The dates will available very soon. After that leg, HYDROGYN will go to Europe for the spring and then come back to the States for more dates in late April and May with as-yet-undecided touring partners.
HYDROGYN earlier in the year inked a three-album deal with Demolition Records's UK-based label DR2. This signing came on the heels of the band's success with its Billboard-charting "Bombshell" release in 2006, "Strip'em Blind Live" CD success in 2007, coupled with the group's relentless touring in Europe over 2007.
HYDROGYN's latest album, "Deadly Passions", was recorded in Huntington, West Virginia's Smash Hits Studio and includes a cover of ALANIS MORISSETTE's mega-smash "You Oughta Know".
